Why language matters:
Election participation should be accessible to everyone, in their own language. You can change your preference any time by replying "Settings" to the bot.
Verify your identity — once, before election day
Type /verify and send your vNIN token (dial *346# on any Nigerian network to generate one). Verification is what turns your report into credible evidence — every record on the ledger comes from a real, identity-verified Nigerian.

Why verification matters:
An anonymous report is easy to dismiss; a report from an identity-verified citizen, corroborated by other verified citizens, is not. Verification protects the ledger from bots and fake submissions — while our zero-knowledge design means your actual NIN never touches our database.
Report the result you witnessed at your polling unit
After votes are counted and the result is announced publicly at your polling unit, type /submit. The bot will walk you through four steps:
1. Your polling unit code
The unique code for your polling unit — printed on your voter card or available from the INEC Polling Unit Locator. This makes your report location-specific.
2. The votes announced per party
The official tally read out at your polling unit and recorded on Form EC8A — e.g. "APC: 234, PDP: 180, LP: 96." This is the publicly announced result, not your personal vote choice.
3. A photo of Form EC8A 📸
Photograph the official result sheet as displayed at your polling unit. The photo is the primary evidence — make sure all figures and signatures are readable.
4. Your location 📍
Share your live location once, at the moment of submission. It proves you were actually at the polling unit. We never track you — one point, one time.
Why this works:
- The polling unit result is public: It is announced out loud in front of everyone present and written on Form EC8A — it is not your private vote choice.
- Three independent witnesses: A result is only marked confirmed once 3 or more verified citizens from the same polling unit report matching numbers. One person cannot fake it.
- Photo + location + identity: Every confirmed result is backed by photographs of the official form, GPS evidence, and verified witnesses — built to the standard of court-admissible evidence under the Nigerian Evidence Act 2011 (Section 84).
- Cross-checkable against iReV: INEC publishes results per polling unit on iReV. Any discrepancy between what citizens witnessed and what iReV shows is automatically flagged.
Your personal vote is never asked for. The secret ballot is preserved. What you report is the publicly announced tally — information that was already made public at your polling unit.
Your evidence is sealed, anchored & corroborated
Here's what happens the moment you submit:
- → Your submission is cryptographically sealed — your EC8A photo and the full record are fingerprinted with SHA-256. Alter one pixel or one digit afterwards, and the fingerprint no longer matches.
- → It is anchored to the Bitcoin blockchain within 24 hours — a public, independent timestamp that no one can alter or backdate. Not us, not any government, not anyone.
- → It is corroborated by other witnesses — once 3 or more independent verified citizens from your polling unit report matching numbers, the result is marked CONFIRMED.
- → It is cross-checked against INEC's iReV — any discrepancy between what citizens witnessed and the official figure is flagged automatically.
- → You receive your record's fingerprint — proof that your submission was recorded and cannot be altered.
Why the Bitcoin blockchain?
SHA-256 hashing proves a record hasn't changed — blockchain anchoring proves when it existed. Each day's records are anchored to Bitcoin via the open OpenTimestamps protocol, creating a timestamp anyone in the world can verify independently, without trusting us. If a result is disputed in 2027, the evidence trail — photo, location, verified witnesses, immovable timestamp — is designed to stand up in a Nigerian court under Section 84 of the Evidence Act 2011.

As results come in from polling units across Nigeria, you can see:
- Citizen-reported tallies per polling unit — The numbers witnesses submitted from the ground
- Real-time updates — Dashboard refreshes as new submissions arrive from across the country
- Cross-check against iReV — Compare the citizen ledger against INEC's official figures, polling unit by polling unit
- Flagged discrepancies — Any polling unit where citizen reports and iReV figures diverge is highlighted immediately
Why this matters in real-time?
Results manipulation typically happens in the aggregation stage — between the polling unit announcement and the final declaration. When thousands of independent witnesses have already submitted the polling unit numbers, any alteration to those numbers in iReV becomes immediately visible and publicly provable.

Does this record how I personally voted?
No. We never ask for your personal vote choice. What you report is the publicly announced polling unit tally — the numbers read out in front of everyone at your polling unit after counting. Your secret ballot is preserved.
Will my submission be public?
The polling unit result you reported is added to the public ledger. Your name and contact details are never published — only the result data and your submission hash.
Can I stay anonymous?
Yes. Name and phone are optional. Your submission still counts.
Is this affiliated with INEC?
No. We are fully independent. We compare citizen-reported polling unit results against INEC's official iReV figures and publish any discrepancies.
When should I report?
Report as soon as the result is announced at your polling unit — ideally while you are still present. The earlier reports arrive, the harder it becomes to alter results undetected. The bot is available 24/7.
